The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia has launched the Croatian Consular Portal, a new digital service designed to provide both Croatian and foreign citizens with faster, simpler and more efficient access to consular services.

This initiative is part of a broader digital transformation process within the Ministry, which began with the successful integration of Croatia’s Visa Information System with the European Union’s central visa system (VIS EU).

What does the Croatian Consular Portal offer?

The Croatian Consular Portal provides a wide range of services, including:

• Booking appointments with Croatian embassies and consulates

• Access to up-to-date information on consular services such as document certification, passports and citizenship

• Easier and more direct communication with consular staff

• Reduced waiting and processing times for various requests

The platform is available to Croatian citizens living around the world as well as to foreign nationals who need consular assistance from Croatian offices.

How to use the portal

Before visiting a consular office, users can simply:

1. Select the service they need via the Croatian Consular Portal

2. Contact the appropriate diplomatic or consular mission

3. Book an appointment and receive clear instructions on the next steps

“The new portal aims to make the daily work of consular staff more efficient, while saving time for users. It also represents a significant move towards modernising Croatia’s foreign affairs and improving service quality for citizens,” the Ministry said.
