PHOTOS: Zadar hosts Wings for Life World Run for 6th year in a row

ZAGREB, May 5 (Hina) – About 9,000 participants took part in the Wings for Life World Run on Sunday in the seaside city of Zadar, which was for the sixth consecutive year the Croatian venue of this global race aimed at raising funds for spinal cord injury research.

Apart from the runners, also the Croatian Air Force’s display team “Wings of Storm” and some other staff of the armed forces and the police participated in the event.

The global race began at all designated locations worldwide simultaneously at 11am UTC, and in Croatia it was at 1pm local time.

Wings for Life is a not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation with the mission to find a cure for spinal cord injury.

This campaign has so far collected EUR 23.6 million for its cause.
