[VIDEO] Croatian Music Legend Oliver Dragojević Celebrates Half a Century Career & 70th with Zagreb Concert

One of the true legends of the Croatian music scene has celebrated his 70th birthday and a career spanning more than 50 years with a fantastic concert in Zagreb on Saturday night.

More than 10,000 fans turned up to Zagreb Arena to celebrate Oliver Dragojević’s incredible career.

Oliver belted out a number of biggest hits from the dozens of albums he recorded over the last half a century. He was supported on stage by the Zagreb philharmonic orchestra.

A number of well known Croatian musicians were in the crowd supporting Oliver, including Croatia’s Eurovision representative Jacques Houdek and 2Cellos star Stjepan Hauser and his partner Jelena Rozga.

Oliver is one of the few Croatian musicians who has performed at Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Olympia (Paris) and the Sydney Opera House.

Some of his hits have been played for decades in Croatia and around the world. He had success with songs like “Ća će mi Copacabana”, “Galeb i Ja”, “Vela Luka”, “Oprosti Mi, Pape, “Nadalina”, “Piva klapa ispod volta”, “Žuto Lišće Ljubavi” and “Karoca gre”.
