New ferry timetables for 2026 have been finalised following close cooperation between local communities and the Coastal and Line Maritime Transport Agency, reflecting the evolving needs of passengers, local economies and the increasingly dynamic life of Croatia’s islands, Jadrolinija has said.
The most significant change applies to the Split–Supetar ferry line, where the traditional off-season period will be removed.
From 2026, the route will operate exclusively under high-season and low-season timetables, a move driven by continuous growth in passenger traffic and the growing need for frequent, reliable travel throughout the year.
The new timetable has been developed through close consultation with local stakeholders and the national regulator, with particular attention paid to aligning ferry departure times with bus schedules.
This coordination will provide passengers with smoother connections and greater flexibility when planning their journeys, Jadrolinija added.
With this change, Split–Supetar becomes the fifth ferry line in Croatia to operate without an off-season timetable.
The same model is already in place on the following routes:
• Valbiska – Merag
• Brestova – Porozina
• Zadar (Gaženica) – Preko
• Zadar (Gaženica) – Brbinj
This trend highlights broader positive developments across Croatia’s islands, including population growth, stronger local economies and increased year-round activity.
As island communities continue to expand and develop, the demand for dependable and frequent maritime connections has become essential.
Jadrolinija, Croatia’s national ferry operator, will ensure all operational requirements for the new timetable are met.
This includes deploying vessels of appropriate capacity, securing sufficient crews and maintaining stable service levels to meet transport needs throughout the year.
