Croatian skier Zrinka Ljutić wins gold at Junior World Championships in Canada

Croatian Zrinka Ljutić has won gold at the women’s junior world slalom in Canada.
The 18-year-old, who is a member of the Croatian ski club Žuti Mačak in Zagreb, won gold on Tuesday with a time of 1:39.88, 0.84 seconds ahead of Emma Aicher of Germany who took silver.
Moa Bostroem Mussener of Sweden took third with a time of 1:41.09.
“The feeling is too good, really amazing. I was hoping for a medal, but I didn’t expect to finish in first place, especially not in the slalom. I really did my best, especially in the second run, which was really hard, it was a fight from the first to the last gate, but I am proud that I did well and won first place,” said Ljutić after her gold medal victory.
This is also the first gold medal won by a Croatian female at the FIS World Junior Championships.
