Record-breaking deal for Croatian football TV and marketing rights

The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has announced the signing of its most valuable media rights deal to date, securing a record €59.2 million for television, marketing, betting and data rights starting from the 2026/27 season.

Following a public tender, the HNS Executive Committee reviewed all offers and selected Croatian Telecom and SuperSport as the new partners for the forthcoming cycle.

Croatian Telecom has been awarded the television broadcasting rights in a five-year deal worth €49.2 million. The agreement runs until the end of the 2030/31 season.

Meanwhile, SuperSport will handle marketing, betting, and data rights in a deal valued at €10 million over four years, lasting until the end of the 2029/30 season. The agreement also includes the option of a two-year extension.

“This confirms the strong value of Croatian club football,” said HNS President Marijan Kustić. “We launched the tender at the perfect moment — during what many consider the most exciting season in HNL history, marked by record attendance and viewership.”

“In a time when media rights values are stagnating or even declining in some leagues, we in Croatia have secured the biggest deal ever, worth nearly €60 million. This will be vital for the financial stability of our clubs.”

Kustić praised both Croatian Telecom and SuperSport for their continued commitment and contribution to the growth of Croatian football, stating that they have been “reliable and constructive partners” over recent years.

He also highlighted that the new agreement includes planned investments in pitch quality and stadium infrastructure — areas identified as key to further development.

The current agreement, which began in 2022, secured €44 million over four years, including €36 million for television rights and €8 million for marketing and betting rights.
