67th Croatian sports awards: Luka Modrić & Sandra Perković take top honours

The winners from the 67th SN Croatian sports awards (HNS)

ZAGREB, 26 December 2018 – Luka Modrić and Sandra Perković have won the top individual honours at the 2018 Croatian Sports Awards held today. 

The awards, organised by leading Croatian daily sports newspaper, Sportske Novosti, have been held for the last 67 years in a row and features voting from 322 sports journalists in Croatia.  

World and European discus champion, Sandra Perković, took out the top female Croatian sports award for the seventh year in a row, whilst Luka Modrić won the men’s award for the first time. 

The Croatian football team, who won silver at the World Cup in Russia, won the team’s award. The Croatian archery team, who are the European champions, won picked up also a team award.
