Marijan Kustić re-elected as Croatian Football Federation president

Marijan Kustić has been unanimously re-elected for a new four-year term as president of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) during the Electoral Assembly held at Zagreb’s Westin Hotel on Monday.

The Assembly also unanimously appointed the new Executive Committee, comprising Đuro Bukvić, Nenad Črnko, Nenad Horvatić, Davor Ivić, Ante Kulušić, Josip Kuterovac, Drago Lucić, Robert Markulin, Damir Mišković, Slavko Prišćan, Božidar Šikić, Ile Topuzović, Ante Vučemilović-Šimunović, Darko Raić Sudar, and Mario Smodlaka.

Kristijan Antolović joins as a new member, replacing Mate Kljajić.

The vice-presidential positions have been confirmed as follows: Ante Vučemilović-Šimunović remains the first vice-president, with Nenad Horvatić, Davor Ivić, and Ile Topuzović stepping in as new vice-presidents.

Damir Mišković continues in his role from the previous term.

In his address, Kustić expressed his gratitude and pride in leading the HNS. He highlighted the federation’s achievements, including significant infrastructure projects and the forthcoming construction of a football camp.

He acknowledged the support from UEFA, FIFA, the Croatian government, and the city of Velika Gorica, expressing optimism about commencing construction in early April. Kustić emphasized the unity within the federation over the past four years, attributing it to their collective success.

Among the attendees of today’s Assembly were FIFA representative Marion Gavat, UEFA’s Mario Georgiou, Croatian Olympic Committee Secretary-General Siniša Krajač, honorary HNS presidents Branko Mikša and Mladen Vedriš, national team coach Zlatko Dalić, Croatian Water Polo Federation executive vice-president Perica Bukić, and Croatian Basketball Federation president Nikola Rukavina.

Mladen Vedriš highlighted the resurgence of Croatian sports, citing achievements in water polo and skiing, and praised football for leading this renaissance.

The Assembly saw the participation of 64 out of 75 delegates, underscoring the strong support for the current leadership and its future initiatives.
