5th Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest – Perfect Place for Chocolate & Coffee Lovers

Event Factory organizes the 5th Coffee and Chocolate Festival – Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest which will take place February 11 to 14, 2016 at the Festival Pavilion at Ban Josip Jelačić Square in Zagreb…

After two years in the beautiful HDLU, the festival’s 5th edition will go back to where it all started – Ban Josip Jelačić Square.

In the past four years, Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest was visited by over 500,000 visitors from Zagreb, Croatia and the whole region. With over 100 exhibitors and more than 120 workshops, lectures and cooking show program, the ART program hosted a number of great artists: Karen Eland (USA), Saimir Strati (Albania) and Gorazd Potočnik (Slovenia).

The aim of the festival is still the same: presenting the best Croatian and international chocolates and coffees.
Through various promotions, presentations, workshops and sale, numerous Croatian and international manufacturers and importers will present the latest trends in gastronomy and industry of coffee and chocolate, and the artists will in their own ways through techniques present the magic of chocolate artism.

On the occasion of Valentine’s Day all visitors in love with coffee and chocolate will be able to hug the large Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest heart 3 meters in diameter at Ban Jelačić square and have their picture taken.

The novelty of this year’s concept is that because of the great interest of visitors in previous years, this year the Zagreb Coffee & Chocofest, besides at Ban Jelačić Square, will be held at several other locations – Center for food culture, Wine bar Good Wines, and selected Zagreb bars, hotels and restaurants.

The announcement of the festival begins on February 10 at the Wine bar Good Wines where the chef Goran Geršak will prepare dinner with magic combinations like salmon with chocolate with Riesling or chocolate wild boar goulash with Merlot. Visitors will be able to enjoy the premiere of tasting of the first Croatian chocolate with ecological certificate produced in Croatia signed by Nadalina from Split, and the raw chocolate and chocolate gluten and lactose free products offered by the chocolatiers Lizin vrt from Slovenia.

Festival Choco bar will offer hot chocolate with raspberry, peanut and caramel flavors, and those looking for fun and new knowledge will, under the expert guidance of the Centre for food culture, participate in making of edible gifts for Valentine’s Day and unusual recipes of the blog Jedozovni duo.

In cooperation with showbiz weekly Story, on February 13, we will enjoy at the outside stage a day-long entertainment program and concerts. A special attraction of this year’s festival is its bus – a 1960 vintage double-decker that will drive tourist visits to the city center. In the artistic part of the program, visitors will be able to watch live the making of chocolate statues.
