2022 World Cup: Times, dates, venues for Croatia’s group matches revealed

Croatian fans can now start planning their trips with the dates, times and venues for Croatia’s group matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar now known.

Croatia was drawn alongside Belgium, Morocco and Canada in Group F at last night’s draw in Doha. 

Croatia will meet Morocco first up on Wednesday, 23 November, before playing Canada on Sunday, 27 November and Belgium on Thursday, 1 December.   

GROUP F SCHEDULE: (All times in Croatian time)

1st Round – Wednesday 23 November 2022

Belgium – Canada – Ahmad bin Ali Stadium – 8 pm
Morocco – CROATIA – Al Bayt Stadium – 11 am

2nd Round – Sunday 27 November 2022

Belgium – Morocco – Al Thumama Stadium – 2 pm
CROATIA – Canada – Khalifa International Stadium – 5 pm

3rd Round – Thursday 1 December 2022

Croatia – Belgium – Ahmad bin Ali Stadium – 4 pm
Canada – Morocco – Al Thumama Stadium – 4 pm

Croatia has never met Belgium at a major tournament, but have played them eight times in the past. The last time the two teams met was in a friendly just before Euro last summer with Belgium winning 1-0.

Croatia have never played Canada and only once against Morocco, back in 1996 when they won on penalties 7-6 (2-2) in a friendly. 

Croatia will start this year’s tournament as runners-up after finishing second to France in 2018.

The FIFA 2022 World Cup starts in Qatar on 21 November with the final to be played on 18 December.
