0 new Covid cases again in Croatia today, active cases drop further

ZAGREB, 8 JUNE, 2020 – There have been zero new COVID-19 cases reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said in a statement on Monday.

Today is the 105th day since coronavirus arrived in Croatia and with just one case so far in June, the total number of cases still stands at 2,247.

There were no new COVID-19-related fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. 

The current death toll stands at 104.

There have been 2,128 recoveries to date. Currently, there are 15 active cases in Croatia with 10 people in hospital and 2 patients currently on a ventilator.

Since late February, Croatia has conducted 68,866 tests, including 126 in the last 24 hours.

The head of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, Krunoslav Capak, said today that fans would be able to return to stadiums soon.

“Outdoor matches with spectators will begin on June 12 or 14, with epidemiological measures, of course,” he said on the national broadcaster.
