Zimmer Frei Republic…250,000 Croats Renting Private Places

CroatiaIt has been estimated that around 75,000 people in Croatia live from renting out private accommodation during the summer, writes daily Slobodna Dalmacija

Although there are no offical figures, the Opatija Tourism and Hospitality Management Faculty report that around 250,000 Croats rent out family residence during the summer months to tourists. Around half a million beds rented out in private accommodation say the faculty. It is also estimated that around 200,000 people are renting in the whole of Croatia, with 40,000 of those in the capital Zagreb.
