Zagreb Archaeological Museum items part of US “First Kings of Europe” project

ZAGREB, 3 Sept (Hina) – Items from the Zagreb Archaeological Museum’s prehistoric collections will be shown at the “Ritual and Memory” exhibition at the New York University’s Institute for the Study of the Ancient World as part of “The First Kings of Europe” project.
The project will acquaint the North American public with Europe’s history, the museum said on Friday.
The main organiser of “The First Kings of Europe” exhibition is the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago with the participation of 26 institutions from 11 countries.
The items from the Zagreb Archaeological Museum arrived in New York yesterday. The “Ritual and Memory” exhibition opens on 22 September and will be open until 19 February 2023.
“The First Kings of Europe” exhibition opens at the Chicago museum in March, while from 5 April 2024 to 19 January 2025, it will be staged at the Canadian Museum of History Gatineau.
