World’s first discovery yacht “Scenic Eclipse” berthed in Rijeka until pandemic ends

ZAGREB, May 3 (Hina) – The polar discovery passenger vessel called “Scenic Eclipse”, which was built by Pula’s Uljanik dock two years ago, on Saturday arrived in the port of Rijeka where it will remain berthed until the end of this year, waiting for the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ship sailed into Rijeka with the minimum number of the crew members aboard on Saturday afternoon, after it had been at sea for two months, the port authorities stated.
This luxury vessel, which is the world’s first discovery yacht, is 165.70 meters long and 21.50 m wide and was launched in Pula’s dock in January 2018.
The liner can accommodate 237 passengers plus crew staff and was built for sailing on all seas, including polar and tropical regions, for which it is specially equipped.
It is specially “strengthened” to navigate in harsh weather conditions and frozen seas, and satisfies the requirements of high environmental standards.
Uljanik signed the contract for the ship with a company in the Australian Scenic Group in November 2015.
