BRUSSELS, Jan 15 (Hina) – Manneken Pis, one of the symbols of Brussels, was dressed in Croatia’s folk costume on Wednesday on the occasion of Croatia’s rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Manneken Pis, the urinating boy, is a 61 cm tall bronze statue at the top of a fountain in the centre of Brussels. It originates from the 17th century and has become one of the Belgian capital’s landmarks.

It has become a tradition to dress it in a variety of costumes, depending on the occasion.

Today, Croatian Ambassador to Belgium Josko Paro unveiled the statue in Croatia’s folk costume. Video below.
