Croatia’s famous LADO Ensemble has presented a new promotional video inviting the audience to their Dance Concert.

The trailer for the dance program of the LADO Ensemble highlights the uniqueness and diversity of Croatian dance, music, and costume heritage.

This is the second video in the LADO 75 series, following the announcement of the Lenten Concert, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the only national professional folk ensemble.

The Dance Concert of the LADO Ensemble takes place during the spring and summer seasons, featuring iconic and renewed choreographies. “Podravski svati,” “Ej, sviraj Pavo,” and “Linđo” are recognizable to the audience through their elements and symbols of dance and traditional attire.

The artists of the LADO Ensemble interpreted them once again in the mystical and avant-garde space of the Old Town Hall in the Upper Town of Zagreb.

A tribute to the long history of the Ensemble is paid through a segment and attire from the “Ladarke” choreography.

The video brings choreographies and famous artists into a contemporary perspective, faithfully following the fundamental dance and aesthetic principles nurtured for decades in the LADO Ensemble.

The video was directed by Frane Pamić, marking his third collaboration with LADO.

“This video shows how timeless and rich heritage can dynamically fit into a modern context, creating a bridge between the past and the future. The contrast between tradition and mysterious ambiance adds a new dimension to the interpretation of the LADO Ensemble. The video is full of dynamic shots reflecting the beauty, strength, and vitality of LADO, highlighting all the excitement and relevance of tradition in today’s world.”
