VIDEO: Croatia breaks out into song in dressing room after winning World Cup bronze

Celebrations went from the pitch to the dressing room as Croatia’s players and staff won bronze at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Saturday.

Goals to Joško Gvardiol and Mislav Oršić gave Croatia a 2-1 win over Morocco and their third medal from just their 6th World Cup appearance.

– This is bronze, but it has a golden sheen. We won a difficult match, but this is great, a medal for all of Croatia and our people, for all those who follow us, cheer for us and love us all over the world. Two championships, two medals, that is something fantastic. Big congratulations to the players. I would like to dedicate this victory to one man, Ćiro Blažević. Boss, this is for you, this is your medal, I can win five medals, but you are the coach of all coaches – said coach Zlatko Dalić.

There was further good news after the match when captain Luka Modrić confirmed he will stay on with the national team to at least next summer.

That’s the plan. When we got to the Nations League final, I took part in all of that, it would be pointless if I didn’t play the finals, so after that we’ll see how to proceed, said Modrić.

After receiving their bronze medals on the pitch, the celebrations continued in the changing rooms and Dalić got his phone out to record the moment.
