[VIDEO] Airport Welcome ‘Croatian Style’ Goes Viral

A video of an airport welcome, Croatian style, in Australia has gone viral.

When Ivan and Kata Ojurović returned to Australia recently after 15 years living in the small village of Trnava Cabunska in Slavonija in eastern Croatia, to see their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, they did not get a welcome usually seen at airports.

Dida Ivan and Baka Kata come through the arrival gate at Sydney International Airport to be greeted by Sydney band PAJDAŠI.

The band – Marko Ojurović (Basprim/Čelo), Andrew Zaharija (Basprim), Stjepan Kalfić (Prim), Luka Ojurović (Harmonika), Daniel Ojurović (Cajon), Andrew Pejović (Berde), and David Zaharija (Bugarija) – welcomed the couple home with a great rendition of Miroslav Škoro’s popular song ‘Kuća na kraju sela’.

PAJDAŠI, who formed in 2016 and have supported the likes of Mladen Grdović and Šima Jovanovac, brought tears to the eyes of many with their welcome as the video soon went viral.

“This is how you welcome Dida and Baka back into the country.”
“Amazing.”
“OMG. This is beautiful guys. I have tears watching.”
“You gave me goosebumps.”
