Vedran Corluka & wife Franka expecting first child

ZAGREB, 13 August, 2019 – Former Croatian international Vedran Corluka is set to become a father for the first time next year.
Corluka and and wife Franka Batelic announced the news on Monday that they are expecting their first child.
“2020 will be a special one. Our little family is getting bigger,” Corluka wrote on Instagram as he posted a photo of his pregnant wife, who added with her own post: ‘Our little person is coming.”

A number of Corluka’s former teammates were quick to congratulate the pair in the comments, including Šime Vrsaljko, Dejan Lovren, Ivan Perišić, and Luka Modrić.
The 33-year-old Lokomotiv Moscow central defender and the 27-year-old singer exchanged wedding vows last summer at the Parish church of Visitation of Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Elizabeth in Bale, Istria in front of family and friends.
The newlyweds then celebrated at Villa Meneghetti with Croatian singer Toni Cetinski entertaining guests at the wedding which included Corluka’s World Cup teammates Modric and Perisic.
Corluka decided to call time on his Croatia career last August after 12 years wearing the Croatian colours. He played 103 times for his country. Franka, a singer, has won a number of awards and represented Croatia at the Eurovision song contest in 2018.
