Ultra Europe opens in Split with over 55,000 fans on first night

Ultra Europe Split

SPLIT, 12 July 2025 (Hina) – One of the world’s leading electronic music festivals, Ultra Europe, officially opened on Friday evening at Park Mladeži in Split, drawing more than 55,000 visitors from Croatia and abroad on its first night.

The festival, which began at 7pm, will run across four stages, offering a wide range of music throughout the night and into the early hours.

Organisers have described this year’s opening night line-up as one of the strongest to date.

At the Main Stage, the spotlight is on global stars including Mykris, Matroda, Nghtmre and Morten.

The peak of the evening features performances by Vini Vici and Alesso, with trance icon Armin van Buuren closing the night with his set scheduled for 3.30am.

Meanwhile, the Resistance Stage showcases underground techno and house, with much anticipation around sets by Solomun and Carl Cox, who is expected to perform after 2am.

On the UMF Radio Stage, fans can enjoy a mix of electronic genres with acts such as James Carter, Broz, and Mike & Me. Music here continues until the early hours.

The Oasis Stage, known for its more relaxed and intimate atmosphere, will wrap up around 2am. This stage is particularly popular with festival-goers seeking a break from the high-energy main areas.

With such a large crowd, organisers are implementing enhanced security measures throughout the event to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

Police have reported that 119 people were arrested on the opening night, mostly for drug-related offences. Police issued fines totalling around €50,000.

Festival-goers are also encouraged to download the official Ultra Europe mobile app, which provides updates on performance schedules, ticket details and on-site navigation.

The festival continues on Saturday and Sunday, and organisers expect more than 160,000 visitors over the three days in Split.

Although exact ticket sales figures have not yet been released, organisers have confirmed that tickets remain available for purchase throughout all seven days of the festival.

Final attendance and sales statistics will be shared after the event concludes.
