BUDAPEST, 13 August 2019 – Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb have beaten Hungarian club Ferencvaros in their 2019–20 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie after a comprehensive second leg win in Budapest tonight.

After a 1:1 draw in the first leg last week at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb, Dinamo Zagreb would score four times, including three in the second half, at a packed Groupama Arena to run away with the tie 5-1 on aggregate.

Ferencvaros were dangerous in the opening stages of the match, creating a couple of early chances which Dinamo’s keeper Livakovic done well to keep out.

Dinamo would get the away goal they needed in the 16th minute when a superb ball from Olmo found captain Ademi in the box who would finish well to give his side a 1-0 lead.

Olmo then gave Dinamo a 4-1 lead on aggregate in the 55th minute when after good work with Perkovic his shot would find the bottom right-hand corner. Gojak then made in 4-0 on the night and 5-1 on aggregate in the 80th minute.

Dinamo could have made it 5-0 but Petkovic would miss a penalty in the 88th minute.

Dinamo Zagreb is now just one match away from qualifying for the 2019–20 UEFA Champions League. They will meet Rosenborg from Norway in the play-off over two legs which will take place on 21 and 22 August, and 28 and 29 August.
