Three Croatians Nominated for Emmy Awards

69th Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles next month (Emmys)

Three Croatians are in the running to win an Emmy Award, television’s most prestigious award.

The 69th Emmy Awards, which honor the best in U.S. prime time television programming as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, will be presented in Los Angeles on 17 September with three Croatians nominated.

Zagreb-born makeup artist Ivana Primorac has received a nomination for the first time after being nominated 5 times for a BAFTA award.

Primorac was responsible for transforming Claire Foy’s Princess Elizabeth into Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown.

Music Supervisor Thomas Golubić has also received a nomination this year.

Boston-born Golubić, who has produced the music for countless hit TV series such as Six Feet Under and The Killing, has been nominated for his work on series Better Call Saul.

Meanwhile, composer Michael Jelenic has again been nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on popular animated series Teen Titans Go with James Tucker in the Outstanding Short Form Animated Program category.
