Thousands of Photos of Croatian Cultural Heritage Available Online for First Time

Thousands of photos of Croatian cultural heritage has been made available online for the first time.

Croatia’s Ministry of Culture has published an online catalogue of photots from Croatia’s protected cultural heritage.

Many valuable photos are now available online for the first time to the public and have been divided into four collections;

The Collection of Treasures of the Zagreb Cathedral
The Collection of Većeslav Henneberg
The Collection of Vladimir Horvat
Organ Heritage in Croatia

In the collection of Organ heritage in Croatia, there are 5,462 photographs, taken between 1972 and 1975 when an action to protect musical instruments occurred.

Večeslav Henneberg’s collection is primarily dedicated to the perpetuation of the heritage of the old prehistoric fortresses and the medieval towns of Lika and Dalmatia, while in photographer Vladimir Horvat’s collection, Maritime, Continental, Zagreb, and Nature dominates.
