The Prodigy will be performing at the fifth jubilee Sea Star Festival in the Croatian town of Umag next year.

Stella Maris lagoon will host the popular electro punk band on its main stage and on May 19 and 20, 2023, it was announced today.

Tickets for Sea Star, which is one of the leading music festivals in Europe, go on sale today at noon at a gift price of HRK 229 with a 50% discount, which will only be valid until Thursday 22 December until the end of the day.

The band, which has been the trigger of the planetary craze for electronic sound for decades, created musical history with its songs “Firestarter”, “Breathe”, “Smack My Bitch Up”, “Voodoo People”, “No Good (Start The Dance)” and many others.

The Prodigy are no strangest to the festival and were the first headliners of Sea Star. They will bring their concert spectacle and inexhaustible energy to the biggest stages as part of the world tour in 2023, which they announced with the words “Get ready for the new wave of fire!!!”.

“When we launched Sea Star in 2017, the plan was to establish it as one of the most important festivals under our skies in five years, and we invited Prodigy to help us “launch” it. Circumstances wanted the fifth, jubilee edition to come only in the seventh summer, but that’s why the first headliners are exactly what all the big festivals of the world would like to see on their line-up. Prodigy chose Sea Star, showing that our mission was successful, but also that the ties with the EXIT team are strong and eternal,” said Sanjin Đukić, director of Sea Star.

The Prodigy and the Sea Star festival wrote history together; in 2017, the band caused an absolute frenzy at the first edition of this festival, launched Sea Star as one of the leading festivals in the Mediterranean, and put Umag on the map of the best European festival destinations.

It is a performance that the band itself declared to be one of the best on the tour at that time, and even today it belongs to the very top of all previous performances on all four editions of Sea Star.

The band is still led by the founder, author of most of the songs, one of the most creative musicians of our time and creator of the electronic punk genre, Liam Howlett. By his side is still Maxim, a powerful MC and one of the most charismatic frontmen of the entire music scene.

The magical surroundings of Umag’s Stella Maris lagoon will once again become the central location for the launch of the new festival season. This is the place that, with the fourth edition of Sea Star last May, was the center of the first big festival gathering in Croatia after a two and a half year break.

The Umag event, organised by the EXIT team, was visited by more than 40,000 people and launched the music and tourist season in a perfect way. The Sea Star Festival recently became the only Croatian music event nominated at the prestigious European Festival Awards, in the “Best Medium-sized Festival” category.

The first contingent of festival tickets at a gift price of only HRK 229 and with a 50% discount will arrive today, exactly at 12 o’clock on the official website of the festival, at sales points and online at Entrio.hr. The number of available tickets is limited in quantity, and the gift price will be valid until Thursday, December 22nd at the end of the day at the latest.
