Terrorism: Croatia One Of The Safest Places On Earth

Croatia has been ranked 116th out of 158 countries on the Global Terrorism Index released by the Institute for Economics and Peace.

Croatia had no reports of any terrorism activities in 2011 and its ranking makes it one of the safest nations in the world when it comes to terrorism. The institute reports that in 2011 there were 7,473 deaths as a direct result of terrorism, 25% less than its peak in 2007.

Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and Yemen are ranked, in that order, as the 5 most dangerous places in the world for terrorist attacks.
