ZAGREB, 14 March 2022 – Australian band Tame Impala will perform in Croatia for the first time this summer.
Tame Impala, led by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, will play at the spectacular Pula Arena on 17 August 2022.
Parker is joined by Dominic Simper (guitar, synthesiser), Jay Watson (synthesiser, vocals, guitar), Cam Avery (bass guitar, vocals), and Julien Barbagallo (drums, vocals).
Their debut album, Innerspeaker, released in 2010 was certified gold in Australia. Parker’s 2012 follow-up, Lonerism, reached platinum status in Australia and receiving a Grammy Award nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.
Tame Impala’s third album, Currents, won ARIA Awards for Best Rock Album and Album of the Year. Parker won the APRA Award for Song of the Year 2016 for Currents‘ first track, “Let It Happen”.
The fourth studio album, The Slow Rush, was released on 14 February 2020. At the 2020 ARIA Music Awards, the group won five trophies.
Tame Impala won the BRIT Award for Best International Band in 2016, and in 2021 they were nominated for Best Alternative Album – “The Slow Rush” and Best Rock Song for the song – “Lost In Yesterday” at the Grammy Awards. The album “The Slow Rush” was also nominated for two Billboard Music Awards and the American Music Award (AMA).
Tame Impala have headlined numerous festivals, including Coachella, Primavera, Lollapalooza and many others.
Parker being one of the most influential musical voices of the last decade. As an author and producer, Parker has collaborated with The Weeknd, Travis Scott, SZA, Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Kanye West and many others.
