A big career beckons for talented 13-year old Croatian singer Mia Negovetić, who is starring in the second season of NBC’s Little Big Shots…

Little Big Shots is an American children’s talent television series that is co-produced and created by Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey, with Harvey serving as the host of the hour-long show.

Mia, from Rijeka on the northern Adriatic coast, first hit the headlines in Croatia after her rendition of the Croatian national anthem at the 20th Anniversary of Operation Storm Parade went viral in August last year.

Producers from the Ellen DeGeneres Show and Little Big Shots first saw Mia performing Listen on YouTube, which then already had over a million views, and contacted her school. Later a Skype call was set up and Mia found herself being invited on the show.

“It was very exciting to perform in front of a foreign public on the other side of the world. I had massive, but positive, nerves. It all went great,” Mia said, who was the winner of the first Croatian children’s singing contest Zvjezdice.

Mia spent 9 days in Los Angeles filming for the show which has just started to air in the U.S.

“I sung Listen which the producers of the show selected. They even made me the same microphone Beyonce had in the film which she sung that song. The public and Steve Harvey loved my performance. I felt like I was dreaming,” said Mia.
