Star Wars: Episode VIII will begin shooting in Dubrovnik next month…

It was confirmed on Friday that Dubrovnik will be one of the filming locations for Star Wars: Episode VIII.

Filming is set to commence on 9 March. Filming locations talked about include the famous stone walls, the main strip Stradun, Banj beach, the town port and a castle in the city.

It is still not clear which part of the film will be shot in Dubrovnik, or which stars will arrive in town to film.

Dubrovnik’s stunning location and tax incentives have helped the city land major productions, including HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones.
