Diona retail stores are owned by the Gavrilović family, who are famous for their dried and cured meats in Croatia, and come after Đure Gavrilović announced that he would be moving away from the retail business, reports Business daily. Spar will take over 20 Diona stores and over 350 of its current employees. Through its affiliate organisations, Spar has more than 12,500 stores in 35 countries worldwide and is headquartered in Amsterdam.
