British soul and pop legends Simply Red will headline the first day of the Zagreb Calling Festival in the Croatian capital this June…

Mick Hucknall and his band will play on 22 June 2016 on the first night of the 2nd edition of Zagreb Calling at Šalata stadium, it was announced on Monday. Local acts Natali Dizdar and group Jinx will support Simply Red on the night.

Hucknall is no stranger to Croatia, he performed two sold-out concerts in Pula at the Arena. Simply Red, who have sold more than 50 million albums since the mid 1980s, will perform some of their biggest hits during their 2 hour gig in Zagreb.

English singer John Newman was recently confirmed as the headline act for day 2 of Zagreb Calling. Newman is best known for his track ‘Love Me Again’ which peaked at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart in 2013.

Tickets will go on sale on 2 March 2016.
