Silver for Croatian at European Karate Champs

Grdenić, who is from the Velika Gorica Karate Club near the capital Zagreb and was the Velika Gorica sportsperson of the year in 2013, took out second place in the under 47 kilogram category after wins over girls from Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Spain and Scotland.  In the final Grdenić narrowly lost to a Slovakian.
