Signed Ball From Croatia v Dream Team 1992 Olympic Final Sells on Online Auction


A signed ball used in the 1992 Olympic Games men’s basketball final, which saw Croatia win the silver medal, has sold on an online auction…

The ball, signed by the Croatian team which featured the likes of of Dražen Petrović, Dino Rađa and Toni Kukoč, sold for $5,948 last night.

The U.S.A men’s basketball team, nicknamed the Dream Team, were one of the standouts of the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, putting on one of the most dominating performances in Olympic team history. The team at the time featured the cream of the NBA, including players such as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.

In the final the Dream Team met a strong Croatian side, who at one point led the match at the start of the second quarter 25:23. The Americans expectedly won gold winning the match in the end 117:85.
