Shock As One Of Croatia’s Best Players Dropped For World Champs

Croatian Handball coach Slavko Goluza has shocked the nation by failing to name star player Ivano Balic in his side for the World Championships in Spain in January.

“We are going for a younger team, and Ivano is not in good form and is not 100 percent ready,” explained Goluza when asked by the press why Croatia’s best player over the last few years has been dropped.

Goluza said that he did not call Balic and give his reasons personally to him about his omission from the side that will travel to the World Championships. The World Championships will be held in Spain from 11-27 January 2013.
