Dubrovnik, March 24th, 2023Culture club Revelin will host numerous famous DJs and producers this summer as the organizers announced a spectacular program that is bigger than any so far. The official opening of the summer season starts already on May 12th. The recent additions to this years’ lineup are famous NBA star Shaquille O’Neil, who presents himself under the stage name DJ Diesel, renowned producer Diplo and Vintage Culture, who was declared the best house DJ in the world by DJ MAG in 2022.

Moreover, Revelin’s stage will also become a playground for John Summit, the most sought-after young star and the famous producer duo Solardo, who are also coming this year. The organizers have already announced some performers, such as Nora En Pure, Dubfire, Sasha, Offaiah, Martin Ikin, Phil & Derek (Cercle), Argy, Eli Brown and Mat.Joe.

For the summer of 2023, we have prepared a program that has not yet been seen in our region. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can expect a foreign name on the main stage. Additionally, we hired eight resident DJs: Andrew Meller, Mike Vale, Kosta Radman, El Maar, Bozzo, Alex G, DJ Speed ​​and myself, DANCElectric. This season marks a turning point in the way we do business and approach the scene. We put special work and effort into the sound and visual effects, which are in charge of VJ Rook and PhiberOptic, people who leave no one indifferent when they come to the Revelin dance floor. We plan to continue at this pace in the upcoming years, so the project for the summer of 2024 in Revelin is already in the works,” said Filip Sulić, known by his stage name DANCElectric, a long-time resident DJ of the Revelin club and the organizer of the club’s summer season program.

Since the opening of Revelin, Sulić has established the DANCElectric Residency project, in which he strives to promote underground sound through guest appearances and collaborations. “After a two-year break, we are returning to the scene. For this year, I am particularly pleased to announce that two international DJs, Andrew Meller and Mike Vale, will be running the residency alongside me, with whose help I will host a couple of selected guest performers”, said the well-known local DJ and producer, adding that the program is set to take place every Wednesday.

The first day of July will be marked by a guestmix by the famous producer Thomas Wesley Pentz, known as Diplo. The aforementioned American DJ is one of the most sought-after producers in the world, known for his collaborations with stars such as Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Madonna and many others. Over the past twenty years, Diplo has had ten Grammy nominations, of which he has won a total of three – in 2016 he won the award for Best Dance/Electronic Release and Album with Justin Bieber and Skrillex, and in 2019 he was awarded for Best Dance Release for the song Electricity in collaboration with Duo Lipa and renowned producer Mark Ronson.

In addition to independent releases, the aforementioned musical virtuoso is one of the founders and creative directors of four major projects: dancehall releases under the name Major Lazer, the LSD project with singers Sia and Labirinth, the duo Jack Ü with producer and DJ Skrillex, and the producer duo Silk City with Mark Ronson.

Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neil developed his love for music at the age of 14. Shaq has always shared his love for basketball and music, and already in the eighties of the last century he became famous with the platinum album SHAQ FU. He simultaneously developed a music and sports career, making his way into the first lineups of the NBA and constantly working on new releases as a rapper and music producer.

One of the best basketball players of all time appeared on the stage of the famous TomorrowWorld electronic music festival in 2015 under the pseudonym DJ Diesel, where he debuted with a mix of trap, EDM, and hip hop genres. Since then, he has often been seen as a guest of numerous clubs and festivals around the world, including the Dubrovnik club Revelin, where he will perform on July 27th of this year.

The last day of July will be marked by a producer duo called Solardo. Mark Richards and James Eliot started building their musical endeavors together in Manchester. Known for their unique expression of house music, this duo has developed collaborations with famous names in electronic music, such as Tiesto, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City and Carl Cox.

After releasing EPs on famous record labels such as Toolroom Records owned by Mark Knight, Repopulate Mars under the direction of Lee Foss and Relief Records under the ownership of Green Velvet, the duo founded their own label under the name Sola, whose releases received numerous praises from leading people of the world music scene. They can often be seen on the stages of festivals across Europe and America, such as Glastonbury, Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

More information about the events of the summer season can be found on social networks and the website of the Revelin club, and the entire program will be published in April this year. All tickets can be purchased online via the website or at the Revelin club offices at Vukovarska ulica 30 in Dubrovnik.
