Serbian Football Team’s Only Request In Zagreb – Housewife Biscuits

The Serbian football federation have only one demand when they travel to Zagreb to play Croatia in the World Cup qualifier at Maksimir stadium on 22 March – that is a plentiful supply of a local Croatian tea biscuit called “Housewife”.

Domacica, meaning housewife in english, is a chocolate tea biscuit produced by Croatian company Kras and the Serbian changing room will be stocked for of them when they arrive.

“Serbian football delegates only had one wish, Domacica biscuits. We will make sure there are around 15 boxes of Domacica for their training and the match,” said Maksimir stadium director Miljenko Sakoman.

Sakoman also confirmed that unlike most international teams who visit, the Serbs will drink Croatian water, usually they bring their own local water, said the director. Macedonia out of interest also requested the Domacica biscuits when they played in Zagreb last.
