The Croatian town of Trogir recently celebrated an important cultural manifestation, known as Dan o’ Kvadrilje, celebrating the Quadrille dance on the occasion of World Dance Day.

The event saw the impressive performance of KUD Kvadrilja, a cultural and artistic society with a half-century-long history in Trogir. The society was founded with the aim of preserving and popularizing Trogir’s unique cultural identity.

The festivities began at noon on Pjaca, where a group of sixteen couples, accompanied by a Mandolin Orchestra, performed a traditional dance that has been preserved in its original form only in Trogir.
