[PHOTOS] Hundreds of Sky Lanterns Launched Over Zagreb

Sky lanterns go off over Zagreb last night (photo credit: Instagram/CroatiaFullofLife)

Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Zagreb on Saturday night for the traditional Christmas Lantern performance.

A large crowd turned up in front of Zagreb’s National Library to let lanterns fly into the sky carrying their Christmas hopes and best wishes into the sky.

Hundreds of lanterns were set free into the calm Zagreb skies in what has become a pre-Christmas tradition in the Croatian capital.

The performance, which also raises money for charity, is now in its 9th year. This year money raised went to the association ‘Mogu Sve’ which promotes the inclusion of invalids in society.
