More than 3,000 people gathered on Zadar’s waterfront today to take part in the Millennium Jump.

Now in its 12th year, the event is believed to be the largest of its kind in the world as sees the participants simultaneously jump into the sea in a variety of jumps.

The 12th dm Millennium Jump featured four main jumps – head first, double-domino jump, jump with a ball, and with a supporters’ shirts in the name of the Croatian team which performed outstandingly at the World Cup.

This year those taking part also formed the phrase “Croatia Loves You“ with their bodies.

Once again money raised today, over 247,000 kuna, was donated to the Latica Nursery Swimming School for Children with Developmental Disabilities.

Sponsors of the event are cosmetics and healthcare retail chain dm–drogerie markt, who provided free skin checks up on the waterfront during the day as well as other activities. The day ended with a free concert.
