10 January 2019 – The old fishing town of Ika near Opatija is to be home to a brand new luxury five-star boutique hotel.
Ikador Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa will have 8 luxury rooms and 6 exclusive suits with a total capacity of 42 people and an exclusive Riva lounge when it opens its doors in April, reports Poslovni.hr.
Rooms vary in size from 50m2 with balconies for the smallest, to the suites which are 80m2 with balconies. The presidential apartment is 280m2 with a 145m2 balcony.
The hotel has been designed by internationally renowned architect studio Artelior which has offices in Zagreb and London and is located within a 5,000m2 nature park. An underground tunnel below the Lungo Mare promenade is connected to a private beach that has a mooring for boats.
The hotel’s Riva lounge is only the fourth of its kind in the world after Monte Carlo, Venice and Mykonos, and the spa and wellness centre occupies the complete third floor of the hotel and offers spectacular views of the Opatija Riviera.
There will also be an a la carte restaurant at the hotel, cigar bar, a heated outdoor sea-water pool and an underground garage with charging facilities for electric cars.
Ikador Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa, which plans to remain open all year round, is already a member of the leading association for luxury hotels – The Leading Hotels of the World.
