One new case in Croatia today, more corona-free counties

ZAGREB, May 28, 2020 (CW/Hina) –  There has been one new COVID-19 case reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said in a statement on Thursday.

After zero new cases on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, there was just one new COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday, putting the total tally of cases at 2,245.

The new case was reported in the Brod-Posavina county. 

There was one COVID-19-related fatality reported in the last 24 hours, a male patient in Split with underlying health problems. The current death toll stands at 102. 

There have been 2,051 recoveries to date, 4 more than Wednesday. Currently, there are 92 active cases in Croatia with 33 people in hospital and 5 patients currently on a ventilator.

Since late February, Croatia has conducted 65,094 tests, including 828 in the last 24 hours.

Corona-free counties increase 

Five counties are now corona-free in Croatia. Istria, Bjelovar-Bilogora, Krapina-Zagorje, Lika-Senj and Sibenik-Knin all have no active cases currently.
