TOKYO, 29 July 2021 – Brothers Martin (32) and Valent Sinković (31) have won Croatia’s second gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo on Thursday. 

The Sinković brothers claimed gold in the Men’s coxless pair final after winning in a time of 6:15.29.

The Romanian crew took second place in a time of 6:16.58, while third place went to Denmark with a time of 6:19.88.

This was the Sinković’s third Olympic final in a third different discipline. They now have two Olympic gold medals and one silver medal.

At the 2016 Olympics in Rio, the brothers won gold in the double sculls, and in 2012 in London they claimed silver in the quadruple sculls. 

Martin and Valent have been racing together internationally since 2008 and also have 8 world gold medals and 5 European Championship golds.
