ZAGREB, 12 Sept (Hina) – The Central State Office for Croats Abroad has invited organisations of the Croatian diaspora around the world to apply, by 8 October, for a €1.8 million grant to support their programmes and projects.
This year, the Office has allocated €600,000 more for these projects than last year, when €1.2 million was awarded for the same purpose.
Associations, foundations, institutions, religious communities and other organisations may apply for the grant, with each organisation allowed to submit a maximum of two applications.
The minimum amount that can be awarded per project is €1,000, while the maximum is €50,000.
Organisations can submit projects in several areas, including culture, education and science, sport, tourism, and initiatives aimed at developing Croatian diaspora organisations.
Projects must be submitted both electronically and in paper form.
Full details on the application process and conditions are available on the Office’s website.
The support programme for Croatian communities abroad, which operate in 29 countries, has been run by the Office since 2012, with the funding for their projects increasing each year.
In 2022 the support amounted to around €750,000, rising to €1.1 million the following year, €1.2 million last year and €1.8 million this year.
