Croatian international Nikola Vlašić is closing in on a move to Italy’s Serie A.

The CSKA Moscow midfielder is rumoured to be close to signing a deal with Italian giants AC Milan, it was reported on Tuesday morning.

Russian reporter Artur Petrosyan says that the Nikola Vlasic is close to joining Milan in a deal worth €25m plus bonuses.

“The 23-year-old Croat joined CSKA from Everton in 2018 on loan, signed permanently in 2019 for €15m, scored 28 goals (from midfield) since and became one of the best players to ever play in Russia.”

Vlašić, who scored in Croatia’s 3-1 victory over Scotland at Euro 2020, has scored 28 times for CSKA in 81 matches and was named player of the year in Russia last season.

If the deal goes through, Vlašić will join his national team teammate Ante Rebić at the San Siro. Vlašić, who recently got married and became a father this summer, has scored six times for his country in 26 appearances.
