Pula, 6 December 2025 – As part of this year’s Advent u Pula – L’avvento a Pola, an impressive 800-square-metre rink, the largest and most visually dynamic to date, has opened inside the famous Pula Arena.

Installed by the Rijeka-based company Arctic, the new rink now includes an extended skating path and features state-of-the-art LED RGB mesh technology, adding a vivid, modern layer of light to the historic amphitheatre.

Arctic, known for delivering last year’s popular ice attraction in the Arena, has once again elevated the experience.

“Last year we opened the first Advent ice rink in the Arena together, and it was an incredible feeling and a privilege,” said Denis Ventin, procurist of Arctic.

“To be part of a project that connects a historic setting with a modern experience left a mark on us and on visitors. This year we’ve made a significant step forward, and I believe the experience will be even stronger.”

Acting as the main organiser of all on-ice programmes, Arctic has prepared a packed schedule designed to turn the Arena rink into a true festive hub.

Visitors can look forward to daily and evening themed animations, family-friendly gatherings, children’s events, visits from St Nicholas and Santa Claus, creative ice-based workshops and popular music nights that add atmosphere to the skating experience.

Special Advent attractions unique to this location are also planned, ensuring that the Arena becomes one of the liveliest and most distinctive spots in Pula throughout December.

“We thank the City of Pula, Pula Film Festival and all partners for their trust and excellent cooperation. It’s wonderful to see the project grow, and even more wonderful to be part of it,” Ventin added.

Advent in Pula Runs Until 11 January

This year’s Advent in Pula began on 30 November and will continue until 11 January 2026, spreading festive cheer across several key locations including the Forum, Portarata, the Market, Giardini, Graz Park and, of course, the unmissable Arena.

Concerts, gourmet stalls, children’s workshops, creative installations and themed events are set to fill the city throughout December. Yet the Arena’s ice rink, with its unique blend of ancient surroundings and advanced technology, stands out as one of the signature attractions of this year’s programme.
