The construction’s first phase, worth 54 million euros in Suha Punta on the Croatian island of Rab, is set to begin this year, with the hotel scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.

In Rab, a contract was signed between Imperial Riviere and the construction company Radnik d.d., which will be responsible for building the new Valamar Collection resort in Suha Punta on the island of Rab. The initial investment phase of 54 million euros includes the renovation and repositioning of 190 accommodation units of the former Hotel Eva and the tourist settlement Suha Punta, along with 24 new family rooms and investments in beaches and various facilities.

The opening of the new resort under the premium brand Valamar Collection is planned for the summer of 2025. It will employ 235 staff and offer career development opportunities for the residents of Rab with a leading employer in tourism.

“This top-notch resort will firmly position the island of Rab among the best family holiday destinations in the Adriatic and provide rich publicly accessible amenities to the residents of Rab, contributing to the quality of life in the local community,” said Alen Benković, CEO of Imperial Riviere.

The 4/5* Valamar Collection resort in Suha Punta will offer all-inclusive services for families, with extensive facilities for children of all ages over an area of 1,000 m2, including Maro Smart Play, Maro Club for children aged 3 to 12, multimedia space, playrooms, and playgrounds, as well as indoor and outdoor pools.

The resort will use electricity from renewable sources, offer locally sourced food and drinks, and take care of the natural environment. Special attention will be paid to improving the offer and services at Suha Punta beach to cater specifically to families with children, allowing both locals and visitors to enjoy the island of Rab.
