NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers Present New Croatian Acquisition Ante Žižić

NBA team the Cleveland Cavaliers have presented their new acquisitions on Thursday, including Croatian centre Ante Zizic.

Zizic was presented with Isaiah Thomas and forward Jae Crowder on Thursday afternoon at Cleveland Clinic Courts.

Zizic, a 20-year-old from Split, was selected 23rd overall by the Celtics in the 2016 NBA draft and has traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He first played for KK Split before moving to KK Cibona in Zagreb and Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul in Turkey. In 21 games in the Turkish BSL, Zizic averaged 8.9 points on .688 shooting from the field and 4.3 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game.

He was named as the 2015-16 Adriatic League Top Prospect which is given to the league’s best young player, aged 22 or under. Previous winners included current NBA player and fellow Croatian Dario Saric.
