Mr Croatia Controversy

Although it was expected that Croatia would send this year’s winner Antonio Sincek to the Mr World contest in the UK in November, directors have decided instead to send last year’s winner Vanja Grgec in his place.

There was controversy after Sincek won the Mr Croatia title earlier this year when it was revealed his girlfriend was expecting a child. Sincek managed to keep his title and says the decision has come as a shock.

“I only found out through a journalist that I am not going to Mr World. That was about a week ago,” said Sincek.

“I was surprised when I got the call. I don’t know what went on behind the scenes or how they made the decision but that doesn’t concern me,” said 2011 winner Grgec, who will represent Croatian instead on the current winner.
