Mother-daughter duo in Australia pay homage to Croatian roots with candle and dried floral business

Australian-based mother-daughter duo, Diana and Celestina Ramljak, have paid homage to their Croatian roots when they launched their business Omiš Decor.
Omiš Decor, named after the town of Omiš on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, offers a range of high quality candles, diffusers and dried floral arrangements.
“Whether you’re looking to brighten up your home or wanting to spoil that someone special, we have you covered with our range of candles, diffusers and dried floral arrangements,” Celestina explains, before adding.

“Every candle and reed diffuser is hand-poured in our workshop with the finest quality ingredients – including 100% natural soy wax and long-lasting fragrances. Plus, who could forget our stunning floral arrangements – we make each arrangement to perfection, with the intentions that they will be loved for many years to come.”

Born in Sydney, with a Croatian heritage, Celestina says she is extremely proud of her heritage.
“Growing up, we were surrounded by Croatian food, music, dancing and friends and family. There’s nothing better than spending time with family and friends overseas, in the Croatian summer, embracing the true Croatian lifestyle and getting in touch with our Croatian roots,” she tells us.

Celestina says all Omiš Decor products are made with passion to perfection.
“After more than 7 years in the industry, we continue to pride ourselves on creating products that will bring joy and happiness to your life, while adding a touch of relaxation to the everyday chaos,” she adds, before explaining how naming the business came about.

“My favourite places are along the coast with Omiš being a standout. Its beautifully unique mountains create a coastline like no other. You can enjoy a coffee along the beach, with a backdrop that looks like a painting. It was the inspiration behind our business… to create a product that can be enjoyed, while relaxing and taking a moment to yourself. I can’t wait to return to the motherland and to be reunited with friends and family. It will be a moment to cherish forever.”
