Škampi na buzaru is a popular dish in Dalmatian cuisine

A taste of Croatia’s Dalmatian coast in the heart of London as the first Dalmatian pop-up restaurant gets ready to open…

Venturin will open mid-October and will be headed by respected Croatian chef Maja Mačković – known from the Hvar restaurant Zlatna Školjka. Venturin pop-up restaurant will be located at Pelican Cafe & Bar at 300 Battersea Park Road in London. It will work from Thursday thru Saturday from 18:00 to 00:00.

Pop-up restaurants, which have been popular in the UK and US for a long time now, are an effective way to gain exposure. Venturin, which is an old term used by Dalmatian fishermen meaning ‘the last dark before the dawn’, will serve food based on the principles of Dalmatian cuisine.
