Former Australian Test, One-Day and T20 star Brad Hogg will play in Croatia next summer.

Hogg, who represented Australia in all formats of the game, will play in the 2019 Mediterranean Cricket League (MCL).

“MCL would like to officially announce that legendary Australian cricketer Brad Hogg will play in MCL2019 at our exciting new venue in Tučepi on the stunning Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. Hoggy has been a great friend of the MCL since its inception in 2016 and next year will personally bring his extensive international Test, One-Day and T20 experience to Croatian shores for the first time,” MCL’s Jeff Grzinic said.

Hogg played 123 One-Day internationals, 15 T20s and 7 Test matches for Australia before retiring from international cricket in 2008. The left-arm spinner took 156 One-Day wickets at an average of just over 26. He took 17 Test match wickets and 7 T20 wickets.

Hogg’s most recent matches were earlier this year for the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL in Australia.

Hogg will also join up with another famous Australian cricketer as an MCL Ambassador.

“We are thrilled to announce that Brad also joins our ‘MCL Ambassador’ Simon Katich in the role as ‘MCL2019 Ambassador’ and as such Hoggy will have a hands-on role with all players and guests at MCL2019,” Grzinic added.
